The presence of a senior Israeli minister at a renewable energy conference in the United Arab Emirates garnered mixed reactions from other delegates on Sunday.

While the Iranians, who have been continually at odds with Israel over their nuclear program, left a lower-level delegate in position at the International Renewable Energy Agency meeting in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait decided to boycott the event altogether in protest at the presence of Silvan Shalom, the minister of National Infrastructure, Energy, and Water.

“The decision is in line with Kuwait’s commitment to boycott all forms of interaction with the Zionist regime,” Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity and Water said in a statement, according to the Kuwait Times.

The Boycott-movement is gaining momentum around the world. This week the Israeli soccer player Dan Mori could not join his Dutch team, Vitesse, on a training camp in Abu Dhabi due to the boycott.

”Yesterday, hours before leaving, the team received a message that I would not be able to enter Dubai. The club still planned for me to fly there, hoping to use connections once we were there to make sure I was allowed to enter, but this morning they told us that I would be arrested upon entry”, says Mori, who now will have to stay in the Netherlands, training with the reserve squad.

هللت الدولة العبرية واتحاد السباحة لديها للدعوة التي تلقتها من الاتحاد الإماراتي للسباحة، للمشاركة في لقاء دولي للفئات العمرية للسباحة في شباط المقبل، إلا أن هذه الدعوة لاقت شجباً وإدانة واسعة من منظمات «مقاطعة إسرائيل» والمجتمع المدني الفلسطيني، ومنها «اللجنة الدولية لمقاطعة إسرائيل وسحب الاستثمارات منها وفرض العقوبات عليها»، والتي تختصر بـ BDS وتنضوي تحت لوائها منظمات فلسطينية ونقابات عمالية واتحادات شبابية وكشفية رياضية. وأرسلت هذه اللجنة رسالة مفتوحة إلى الاتحاد الإماراتي للسباحة بشخص رئيسه أحمد الفلاسي، حيث عدّت الدعوة الإماراتية شكلاً من أشكال التطبيع مع الدولة الصهيونية. وجاء في سياق الرسالة: «تستنكر BDS بشدة ما أوردته وسائل الإعلام حول قرار الاتحاد الإماراتي للسباحة توجيه دعوة إلى الاتحاد الإسرائيلي للسباحة للمشاركة في مباراة دولية ستقام في دبي، إن صح الخبر، فإن هذه الدعوة تمثّل تطبيعاً خطيراً مع دولة الاحتلال والتمييز العنصري، يأتي في وقت نحن في أمس الحاجة فيه إلى الدعم والتضامن العربي والعالمي في ظل استشراس الاحتلال الإسرائيلي للأراضي الفلسطينية والعربية...». وأضافت الرسالة: «نذكّر الاتحاد الإماراتي كذلك بأن عدم وجود علاقات دبلوماسية بين الإمارات وإسرائيل يعفي الأولى من واجب دعوة أي فريق أو وفد إسرائيلي، إلى أنشطة تقام في الإمارات».

of Israel's relations with several of the Gulf states.  Hadas 
described Israel's relations with the Gulf as a function of 
the Gulf Arabs' fear of Iran, but also as due to the Arabs' 
belief in Israeli influence in Washington.  Fleshing out some 
of the points he had made earlier to NEA Acting A/S Feltman 
(reftel), Hadas described Qatar's shift toward the radical 
camp in the region as a "game" linked to Qatari rivalry with 
Saudi Arabia.  Hadas believes Qatar is feeling pressure from 
Israel, Egypt and the Saudis, adding that he has been invited 
to visit Doha for talks about how to resume normal 
Qatari-Israeli ties.  Hadas noted that while the Omanis are 
generally correct in their dealings with Israel, they appear 
not to recognize the seriousness of the threat from Iran.  He 
said that while the UAE is increasingly hostile to Iran, it 
remains unclear how far they are willing to go in terms of 
increasing financial pressures on Tehran.  Hadas said the 
Gulf Arabs feel that the U.S. does not listen to them and 
therefore sometimes try to pass messages through Israel. 
While he agreed that progress on the Palestinian track would 
make it easier for the Gulf states to be open about their 
ties to Israel, he cautioned that the Gulf states use the 
peace process as an "excuse not to take action" against Iran

استغل الكثيرون في دول عربية عدة اتفاقات اوسلو، ومن بعدها مفاوضات السلام بين الفلسطينيين والاسرائيليين كذريعة للمضي في عمليات التطبيع مع اسرائيل، وزيارة تل ابيب، بل واستضافة مسؤولين اسرائيليين على صدر شاشات التلفزيونات العربية للادلاء 

بآرائهم حول قضايا متعددة، بما في ذلك الدفاع عن وجهة النظر الاسرائيلية في العدوان على قطاع غزة وقبلها جنوب لبنان.

التطبيع كان خطأ استراتيجيا، ليس لان عملية السلام لم تتمخض عن اي تسوية تحقق الحد الادنى من الحقوق العربية، وانما لان

 اسرائيل استخدمته لاختراق الساحة العربية وتحقيق اكبر قدر من المكاسب على الساحة العالمية لكسر عزلتها الدولية ايضا.

نقابة الصحافيين الاردنيين بدأت تحقيقا رسميا حول انباء ذكرت ان عددا من الصحافيين الاردنيين الى جانب ثلاثين من نظرائهم من مصر والامارات وقطر والمغرب وفلسطين حضروا مؤتمرا صحافيا عقده الرئيس الاسرائيلي شمعون بيريس بمناسبة حلول شهر رمضان المبارك.

"Shahar Peer, who is being kept away from her rivals at the Dubai Championships in a heavily-guarded compound for the second year in a row, said she was feeling under even more pressure to succeed this time round.

Two years ago the tournament received a record $300,000 fine from the WTA and was threatened with removal from the tour after the Israeli was refused a visa to compete.

Dubai is part of the United Arab Emirates which, like most Arab countries, has no diplomatic ties with the Jewish state and Israelis are routinely denied entry.

Peer was granted entry in 2010 and reached the semi-finals before losing to Venus Williams. The security conditions she encountered last year exist again this week but she said that was not the reason she felt extra pressure to perform."

As the competition organizers announced each participating nation while the teams marched into the arena, they failed to call the Jewish state by its name, curtly dubbing it 'ISR.'

#BDS: علم إسرائيل يرفرف في مجمع "السباحة" بدبي

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- انطلقت الأربعاء في إمارة دبي بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، فعاليات بطولة العالم العاشرة للسباحة للأحواض القصيرة 25 متراً، المعروفة باسم "فينا"، بمشاركة ما يقرب من 800 سباح وسباحة من نحو 148 دولة، بينهم خمسة سباحين من إسرائيل.

ورفع السباحون الإسرائيليون، أربعة يشاركون بمنافسات الرجال وسباحة واحدة بمنافسات السيدات، علم بلادهم في حفل افتتاح البطولة، الذي أُقيم صباح الأربعاء، في مجمع "حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم" الرياضي، الذي يتسع لما يزيد على 15 ألف متفرج.

وفي أعقاب حفل الافتتاح، أسفرت أولى منافسات البطولة، بحسب مصادر إعلامية، عن تأهل السباح الإسرائيلي غاي برنياع، للتصفيات النهائية لسباق 100 متر ظهر، بعدما حل في المركز الحادي عشر بالتصفيات التمهيدية.

القاهرة - ا ف ب: قرر اتحاد النقابات الفنية المصرية الخميس حظر التعامل مع مهرجان ابوظبي السينمائي متهما اياه 'بالتطبيع' مع اسرائيل.

واتهم الاتحاد المهرجان 'بعرض افلام اسرائيلية بما يعتبر تطبيعا مع العدو الاسرائيلي الذي يرتكب عشرات المذابح بحق الشعب العربي الفلسطيني'.

وقال رئيس اتحاد النقابات الفنية ممدوح الليثي لوكالة فرانس برس انه 'لا يجوز لمهرجان سينمائي عربي ان يقدم افلاما اسرائيلية لمخرجين ومنتجين اسرائيليين ويقوم بتطبيع العلاقات معهم في ظل استمرار الاعتداءات الاسرائيلية على قطاع غزة في فلسطين'.

وقال اتحاد النقابات الفنية التي تضم في صفوفها نقابة الفنانين ونقابة السينمائيين ونقابة الموسيقيين، في بيان ان 'مهرجان ابوظبي يحاول بشتى الطرق جرنا الى التطبيع مع اسرائيل'.

واضاف ان المهرجان 'استطاع جرنا الى هذا الطريق من خلال توجيه الدعوة لمنتجة اسرائيلية فخورة باسرائيليتها ليصبح المهرجان حصان طروادة لعبور الفن الاسرائيلي لداخل الوطن العربي'.

وتابع ان 'مهرجان ابوظبي منح المنتجة الاسرائيلية ليسلي اودوين جائزة الجمهور عن فيلم 'الغرب غربا' والبالغة قيمتها 30 الف دولار'.

ولم تعرض خلال مهرجان ابوظبي رسميا اي افلام اسرائيلية. والمعروف عن اودوين، وهي ايضا ممثلة، انها بريطانية الجنسية.

وقال البيان ان 'هذه الخطوة لم تكن الاولى في محاولة التطبيع، بل كانت هناك محاولات كثيرة اولها محاولة المهرجان في دورتة الاولى عرض فيلم 'زيارة الفرقة الموسيقية' ودعوة المخرج الاسرائيلي عيران كولين للمشاركة في المهرجان'.

واشار الى ان الدعوة كانت 'موقعة باسم نانسي كوليت مديرة البرامج في المهرجان في ذلك الوقت'.

واضاف انه 'تم التراجع (عنها بعدما اثارت) عاصفة من الهجوم والانتقادات من الفنانين العرب واتهامهم للمهرجان بالترويج للتطبيع مع اسرائيل بما يخالف نبض الشارع العربي وحسه الوطني'.

واستهجن البيان ما قامت به 'هيئة ابوظبي للثقافة والتراث المشرفة على المهرجان بانتاج الفيلم الامريكي 'اللعبة العادلة' الذي تم عرضه ضمن المسابقة الرسمية لمهرجان كان السينمائي في دورته الماضية وشاركت في بطولته الممثلة الاسرائيلية ليزار شارهي'.

وطالب الاتحاد في قراره اعضاء النقابات الثلاثة بالالتزام 'بقرارها الذي اتخذ منذ 1981 بعدم التعامل او التطبيع مع اسرائيل باعتبارها من الثوابت ما دامت اسرائيل تنتهك حقوق الفلسطينيين وتستمر في اعلانها ان دولة اسرائيل من النيل الى الفرات'.

وتضمن القرار بندين رئيسيين اولهما 'حظرالتعامل مع مهرجان ابوظبي السينمائي على اعضاء النقابات الفنية والا تعرض العضو نفسه الى الفصل'.

اما البند الثاني فينص على 'عدم رفع الحظر بمقاطعة المهرجان الا بعد قيام مهرجان ابوظبي باستبعاد كل ما هو اسرائيلي او له علاقة باسرائيل عن المهرجان'.

واتهم الليثي اسرائيل 'بمحاصرة مئات الالاف من الفلسطينيين وتعرض المدن الفلسطينية للقصف الجوي الذي خلف وراءه الالاف من القتلى والجرحى المدنيين وما حدث ويحدث في غزة من مأساة انسانية وابادة جماعية بكل المقاييس'.

وهاجم الليثي عددا من النقاد والصحافيين الذين حضروا مهرجان ابوظبي لانهم 'لم يقوموا بفضح ما جرى فيه حتى يحافظوا على دعوات المهرجان دائما لهم'.
