#BDS: #WikiLeaks reveal #Oman Reaffirms No Israeli Boycott, Denounces Accusation

"Sayyid Badr agreed that the article appeared to be the product of a journalistic ambush. Noting that he did not recognize the names of the Omani customs officials quoted in the article, Sayyid Badr discounted the alleged comments, even if they did occur, as coming from a low level. Furthermore, he found it strange that the Jerusalem Post would publish such an article, given the fact that Israeli government officials have never expressed dissatisfaction with trade ties to Oman. As recently as the June 6 Middle East Desalination Research Center (MEDRC) executive council meeting, visiting Israeli officials made no mention of boycott or trade concerns to him. He further recalled comments by Israeli Minister of Tourism on a recent international television broadcast dismissing the Arab League boycott as a thing of the past and completely irrelevant."

#BDS: ACTION ALERT: Shame and Blame MOCHA

Zionists have pressured MOCHA, Museum of Children's Arts, to cancel an exhibit of art by Palestinian children of Gaza. MECA, Middle East Children's Alliance, which was partnering this event, comments on the cancellation as follows:

Berkeley, CA— The Museum of Children’s Art in Oakland (MOCHA) has decided to cancel an exhibit of art by Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip. The Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA), which was partnering with MOCHA to present the exhibit, was informed of the decision by the Museum’s board president on Thursday, September 8, 2011. For several months, MECA and the museum had been working together on the exhibit, which is titled “A Child’s View of Gaza.” MECA has learned that there was a concerted effort by pro-Israel organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area to pressure the museum to reverse its decision to display Palestinian children’s art.

ACTION ALERT: Tell MOCHA that you are against their decision to cancel the exhibit!

#BDS: Anti-Israel protest disrupts #UK #BB Cconcert series

"The BBC says protesters have disrupted a performance by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in one of Britain's most venerable concert series. Pro-Palestinian group The Palestine Solidarity Campaign had called for the BBC to cancel the concert and urged people to boycott

The orchestra was due to perform at London's Royal Albert Hall on Thursday as part of BBC Proms, an annual summer concert series dating back to 1941. Shouting and booing erupted just as conductor Zubin Mehta was about to lead the orchestra in Bruch's violin concerto. The BBC Proms apologized on Twitter, saying that the concert's live radio broadcast was taken off the air "as a result of sustained audience disturbance."

#BDS: Tuba Skinny Cancel Israel Gig

"The viewpoints of Tuba Skinny in regard to our recent cancellation at the Red Sea Jazz Festival have recently become a popular topic of debate among numerous websites and news forums. We did not want to comment on a situation that we as foreigners know so little about, but it seems that we now have no choice but to comment.
The reasons for our cancellation are numerous. First, when we agreed to play the festival we were not aware that it was largely state sponsored, or that people on the other side of the wall would be denied entry. This should suffice to demonstrate my meaning when I say that we do not have the comprehensive viewpoint necessary to make political commentary on such a
serious matter.
It is a fact that prior to our show, two days before we were scheduled to fly to Israel from Rome, we were approached by various people via E-mail who are affiliated with the BDS and AAA movements. After thoroughly researching what they told us in numerous emails, we were more enlightened on the current situation of the Wall, in addition to the extreme actions taken by the Israeli government against the Palestinian people. This was a shaking realization, especially because as a street band from New Orleans, we had not even heard the call to boycott, and never so much as considered the idea that playing music for people could be seen as a statement aligning us with any extremist group."
